WHO WE ARE
A Message From Our Founder:
As a passionate athlete, father, husband and son, I understand the importance of keeping myself healthy for my family and my career. As an athlete, I push myself to the limit to improve my performance, no matter what potential injuries I’m faced with. As a father, I want to watch my son grow up and be there for every major event in his life. As a husband, I want to provide my wife the sense of security she deserves when it comes to our family’s health and wellness. As a son, I want to ensure I’m able to provide my mother and grandmother the best care, as they have done for me for so many years.
While I am fortunate to have access to the best care and doctors to provide for myself and my family, I understand that not all families are treated fairly when it comes to the current healthcare system. It was my relationship with my personal physician, Dr. Seeds, and his shared insight that lead me to this understanding. Learning that so many other families and individuals are faced with the threat of financial instability – even bankruptcy – due to the growing costs of healthcare was the driving force behind creating this platform. With the help of other physicians like Dr. Seeds, our team hopes to help patients by educating them on the future of healthcare and what integrative medicine can do to improve their lives.
Internationally renowned ballroom dance champion, choreographer, business owner and Dancing with the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy has always had a passion for health and wellness. As an athlete, it was always important for him to maintain a healthy lifestyle in order to perform at his best. Maks has always put his all into everything he pursues, even when obstacles arise.
As a child, Maks’ parents couldn’t afford to enroll him into performing arts school. This didn’t stop him from training, however. Sports and competition have always run deep in his blood. He is a born athlete. Through his success, Maks has inspired other athletes to overcome their obstacles and pursue their passions as well. When it comes to educating and sharing the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, Maks is also a passionate advocate. When discussing the issues of healthcare with his physician, Dr. Seeds, Maks knew he couldn’t sit back while families struggled to afford proper healthcare. So, Maks partnered with Dr. Seeds to create the 1 Billion Healthy Patients facebook group to help educate patients on the benefits of integrative medicine. By creating a platform where patients can openly share experiences, ask health related questions and receive accurate, safe information from licensed physicians, Maks hopes to show others that traditional healthcare isn’t their only option for achieving health and wellness.

Jeremy Delk has been a successful entrepreneur since early 2000’s with a keen eye for innovative new products, technologies and unexploited market niches. Mr. Delk used the business acumen he learned in the financial sector with Fidelity Investments in Boston and NYC to start Delk Enterprises in 2001. Initially Delk Enterprises was a real estate development firm specializing in residential development. With the growth of Delk Enterprises, Mr. Delk made the decision to leave Fidelity, move back to his native Kentucky and focus on the growth of his company. Over time, Delk Enterprises diversified and invested in and managed other businesses.
In addition to his businesses, Mr. Delk’s other passion is horses and animals. Mr. Delk’s family has owned race horses for more than four decades. In 1978 his grandfather’s horse, Special Honor, competed in the Kentucky Derby against Affirmed and Alydar. Mr. Delk learned of MediVet Pty in 2008 when a trainer had remarkable success using some of the companies product ranges, on one of Mr. Delk’s racehorses. So impressed with the product and after further research formed a partnership with the principles of MediVet Pty, Ltd. to offer the company’s leading edge all natural therapeutic products in North America.
Today Delk Enterprises has crossed over into a more focused approach in human health care including OTC consumer products, small molecule drug development, peptides, and ortho-biologics.
Even as a child, Ryan always had an interest in science and health. Ryan has always been fascinated with the intricacies of science and how things worked together. He knew this was the focus of which he wanted his career centered. Ryan attended Transylvania University and graduated with a degree in Biochemistry. During his undergraduate work, Ryan had multiple research internships studying large scale protein synthesis, physical chemistry, and even bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania. Ryan experienced a wealth of opportunity in the field of protein study and physical chemistry. Physical chemistry provides so much information about how the processes in the body work and how they might be tweaked to obtain optimum performance.
After graduation, Ryan decided to attend medical school at the University of Kentucky. After finishing all the educational curriculum, he realized that this wasn’t where he needed to be and made the very difficult decision to leave. Although difficult, Ryan knew this was the right option for him. During the clinical portions of training, the emotional and mental anguish of interacting with terribly ill patients fighting an uphill battle against socioeconomic, genetic, geological and other numerous factors that negatively impacted their lives, took its toll. In addition, Ryan had become disillusioned with healthcare institutions. The science and physiology of medicine , however, continued to be interesting and exciting.
Just months after leaving, Ryan cofounded Tailor Made Compounding with Jeremy. At this point, Ryan had no idea the integrative health space existed. However, over several months, he was introduced to educational opportunities in a variety of organizations such as the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, American College for the Advancement of Medicine, Age Management Medical Institute, the International Peptide Society and many others. Had Ryan known this type of medicine and business model provided an option for a physician, it definitely would have changed the outlook he had in medical school.
Since the start up of Tailor Made Compounding, Ryan’s been provided vast exposure to the world of integrative medicine and access to experts who treat patients before they get sick and actually optimize human performance. This has provided a depth of experience and knowledge which only builds on his strong foundation.
This is exactly the type of medical environment every patient deserves! It is our hope that, by making this space more transparent and more accessible to patients and doctors, One Billion Patients might be able to grow preventative medicine and help patients health in the uphill battles they are facing with the current system and culture.
That is what we hope to do with One Billion Patients. We hope to make the new and exciting science available to physicians. I hope that through my videos and writing that I might be able to distill information and make it easy to digest while still sticking to the demonstrable evidence based medicine and science.
